Snow snow snow!

It's been quite the white winter with a total of 70'' so far. Jesse has spent a lot of time plowing earning $$ for the family, and Jaxson and I have enjoyed quite a few snow days cooking up comfort food and playing in our jammies by the wood stove. Jaxson has spent a lot of time looking out the window this winter too. He loves to watch visitors approach and wave good-bye. He is fascinated at his Dad shoveling, plowing, and bringing in firewood. He likes to check out what's going on and also thinks it's hilarious when snowballs are thrown at the window and don't hit him. He is quite the little observer.
Jaxson is obsessed with the refrigerator. If you open it he will come crawling full speed ahead to catch a chance at getting in there and checking out all the goodies. He is also not a fan of when the fridge is closed before he approaches. I think he's just a future chef in the making like his Dad.
Happy Valentine's Day! Jaxson and I received Hoodie Footie Pajamas from Jesse (DaDa) for Valentine's Day www.pajamagram.com. They are so soft and warm! I absolutely love them! Our family of three had fun hanging around the house in our cozies, and had a nice dinner of salmon with mango salsa and edamame. xoxo
Jaxson is going to be 1 next month. My oh my how time flies. He had his first independent little steps. We counted two before he reached his destination of Daddy's arms!  He just melts our hearts everyday with his accomplishments and the fun and love he brings us! Love you Jaxson!

Touchdown Jaxson!

Jaxson's new trick is his "touchdown". He started putting his arms up in the air one day during playtime and in the highchair. So every time he did it, we would say "touchdown". Now he does it on demand and is so proud of himself.  Unfortunately, his touchdowns didn't bring the Patriots any luck last Sunday.
Jaxson at 10 months now has 7 teeth, is eating lots of finger foods, and can say "ball," or something very close to it when we play with the ball or when he sees it. He even called the clementine in the fruit bowl a "baw." Yay Jaxson!

December at a glance!

Hugs with Mommy at 9 months old! Jaxson is quite the little love bug. He likes to give kisses, hugs, and reach to be picked up.
Checking out Santa at the Small Wonders Daycare Christmas party!
He had so much fun he passed right out on the way home.
It's Christmas morning...Santa came..open your stocking Jaxson!
Testing out his new baby sled and 16'' of snow! Jaxson wasn't a huge fan, but he did look SO cute all bundled even if he couldn't move. He enjoyed being inside during the cold weather watching Daddy plow and shovel through the window.
Such a big boy in his new chair...thank you Great Grammy and Papa Snyder. This will be a great climbing chair, reading char, and resting chair for many years to come.

Jesse and I had a great week off for Christmas vacation with our little man. We had lots of fun quality playing and snuggling time the three of us. We did some home organizing and hung new family photos, went to a Christmas play, out to dinner, bowling, and had a couples massage. We even squeezed in Jaxson's 9 month wellness check-up. He is 31 inches long and 22 lbs. He is hitting all his milestones, and didn't even shed a tear when he had blood drawn from his finger.
Jaxson is climbing and up to standing position on tables, chairs, couches, and even our legs. His personality is shining through and loves to play games of chase and peek-a-boo. Some of his favorite toys are his new piano, bouncy balls, opening cabinets (which are now all baby proofed), and playing with books. He loves to entertain by talking for everyone. Gack, ga ga, ba ba, da, da.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's beginning to look and feel a lot like Christmas.....
Jesse and I have almost got all our Christmas cards out, shopping done, and the stockings are hung by the chimney with care. Here are some early Winter happenings in the Maynard household.
Our little Indian on his first Thanksgiving! He was under the weather but still a delight, and ate up his sweet potatoes and avocados.
Jesse and I went out for a night on the town to my 10 year Attleboro High School reunion the night after Thanksgiving.
We LOVE our Sundays to snuggle and nap by the wood stove watching football.
This gorgeous afghan was knitted for Jaxson by his Great Uncle John's mother who is in her 90's.
Jaxson had his first big visit to meet Santa at the beautiful Brigg's Nursery. He did a fantastic job. He checked him out as we tried to get a smile. Then the little lip began to quiver so....
 we took a family picture.

Jaxson has been a extremely good boy this year. He weighs about 23 lbs. and continues to eat and sleep wonderfully. He has 4 teeth upstairs and 2 downstairs. He loves to crawl, play, talk and walk around the house holding our hands. He's also climbing now so the baby gates are up! Jaxson makes little fishy faces while he eats, and the wonderful words "ma-ma" have reached his vocabulary after mastering "da-da." He has also added "na-na" "gack" "ugg" and "eh" to his sweet baby babble. He has his 9 month wellness check-up at the end of this month.

Photo Shoot

Last Saturday, November 13th we had a family photo shoot next door at Jesse's parents house. The photographer was fantastic, and we highly recommend her to anyone, www.maureenmariephotgraphy.com. We had so much fun trying different locations around the yard and capturing our family and the fall foliage. Jaxson was fantastic and had so much fun! Here are some shots from the day.

Speed Racer!

It's been a big month for our big 22 pound baby boy! He has mastered the art of crawling, feeds himself finger foods of chopped up sweet potatoes and bananas, graduated to the big car seat, and felt the wind in his face swinging in the back yard. He reaches his arms up to be picked up and tries to talk to us with his adorable baba-dada-rarrar. His bottom two teeth are up and chomping, and he has one big white front tooth that he loves to show off with his smiley face. The other upper is coming through any day now! You wouldn't even know he's teething he continues to sleep 10-11 hours a night, naps twice a day, and loves to eat. He is also a maniac in his new walker from Grammy and Grandpa Maynard. He cruises through the house touching everything, exploring his surroundings, and showing such pride in all his accomplishments. Way to go Jaxson! You amaze us everyday with your development and happy personality! We love you to pieces!
